I know I should have posted pictures earlier, but now you can see 2 new items that I made this summer.






I also entered the Rouge, which got a blue ribbon in intermediate knitting as well, but there are enough pictures of it already on the blog!

It's finished!!

... okay, it still needs some blocking. But all the construction is finished.

Roses

Here is my first foray into fair isle knitting. A dress for Miss Amber with a matching hat. It's all done in fingering weight wool on size 0 and 2 circular needles and a size 5 steel crochet hook.

I'm showing the back of the dress here so you can see the rose button detail.

Sweater progress

Now that school's out, I've picked up the rouge hoodie again.

Here is my progress so far ...

Knitting in the dark

With all of the power outages, I haven't gotten as far along with the sweater as I had hoped. I've attached the pocket and separated for knitting the front and back arm shaping.
Here you can see the cable detail.
I made something less complex by canddle light, a diaper cover for Matt in a nice blue-green wool.
